Things sure have changed since we last spoke, haven't they?
How are you holding up?
I'm now a full week into the 'everybody at home' thing, and wanted to share with you what I've learned in the past week about how to keep the wheels of your business turning in what looks to be our New Normal.
I twigged on Friday, after a week of trying to carry on with my business as normal that once we let go of that pressure, things will be a whole lot easier.
Work in the little chunks of time when your little people are occupied, let go of the expectations you've set yourself for how it's going to work and be kind to yourself.
#2 We're in this together
Worried that you're going to be letting your clients or customers down if your availability and working hours are reduced at the moment?
Let go of that anxiety!
Your clients are in entirely the same boat and this is unprecedented.
All your fears and worries are shared by everyone - your clients, your coach, your competitor.
Tip: keep your clients up to speed on your availability and let them know that you may be working different hours to usual, but you're still there for them.
#3 Imagine if this was the 80's??!!
Ok, I'm being flippant, but imagine trying to juggle your biz and homeschooling without the apps and tech we have at our disposal. Or, shock horror - just having 4 TV Channels!
Thanks to Facetime, Zoom, Netflix and Amazon we're in a pretty comfortable place to hunker down and get through this.
#4 There's got to be a silver lining, surely?
I get it, things seem pretty dire - what do we have to be grateful for?
Mindset is going to be EVERYTHING over the next couple of months, so we need to find light in the darkest corners.
Maybe you're grateful that you were close to burnout and this time off is helping you regroup? Or you're excited to finally do your garden DIY project?
Let's find the joy and gratitude in the smallest moments.
#5 STAY VISIBLE!
Sorry to get all shouty with the caps, but it's important we all get how critical this is. Now is not the time for us all to go quiet. You need to be sharing how amazing you are with your audience - share your knowledge and expertise and learn from others sharing theirs.
Let me know in the comments if I've missed anything?
